Honouring Marcedes Myran and Morgan Harris: A Call for Justice and Healing

We extend our deepest condolences to the families and communities affected by the tragic loss of Marcedes Myran and Morgan Harris, whose remains were recently identified at the Prairie Green Landfill near Winnipeg.

Marcedes Myran, a 26-year-old Indigenous woman from Long Plain First Nation, and Morgan Harris, 39, were victims of serial killer Jeremy Skibicki, who preyed on Indigenous women.

Their loss is a profound reminder of the systemic injustices faced by Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit individuals.

We stand in solidarity with the families during this painful time and reaffirm our commitment to advocating for the safety, respect, and justice that Indigenous communities deserve.
