We wanted to share an opportunity that was recently announced by Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE)! This is not a funding opportunity; however, Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE) are seeking new members for the Indigenous Women’s Circle. The application deadline is September 27, 2024, at midnight Pacific Daylight Time.

Members of the Circle provide strategic guidance and expertise to Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE). Its members:

• discuss existing Indigenous knowledge and provide advice and experience on gender-based violence, economic insecurity, and Indigenous leadership.

• participate in discussions on emerging and promising domestic and international practices, and on strategies to engage men and boys.

• engage with their networks to find key stakeholders, gaps, emerging issues, and opportunities.

• share knowledge (e.g., reports, studies, tools, stories, Indigenous knowledge, and experience) that could shape Government of Canada initiatives.
